Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
